Two of the greatest doctors I have ever known or even heard of, I know this is great information I’d love to send. Dr. Sunil Aggarwal is also a very amazing doctor with incredible intelligence in working with cannabis and how it really does help in many ways.

Comment on Cannabis and Cultural Economy by Jim MacRae https://cannabisandsocialpolicy.org/cannabis-and-cultural-economy/#comment-25875 Tue, 03 Jul 2018 17:21:17 +0000 http://cannabisandsocialpolicy.org/?p=3964#comment-25875 Nice article. I tend to agree that “exchange value” will tend to dominate the regulated cannabis markets of tomorrow — certainly in Washington State. When the legislature decided to move medical cannabis into the regulated system, the barriers bought and paid for by those chasing profit were best exemplified in how the Legal definition of “Applicants” was subtly changed and how the WSLCB subsequently allowed “shake-and-bake” applications to dominate the 222 incremental access point licenses that were allocated to meet the increased demands expected by medical users.

This move basically placed well-informed and well-capitalized profit-seekers in front of most of the experienced, caring, compassionate caregivers that attempted to get a seat at the table in the new regulated medical marijuana marketplace.

It is amazing how little things — almost unnoticeable at the time — can have such profound impacts on the evolution of a marketplace.

Keep up the good work, Dr. Corva! Let us hope and work together to ensure that this regulated thing does actually reduce some of the historical stigma associated with the pre-regulated market and affords a participative role for some of the good, caring folk that created and defined much of that market.

The atrocious oversight by the LCB of Cannabis testing labs and their seeming reluctance to inhibit “bad” (where “bad” includes untested, failed, tested by a non-certified lab and tainted ) product from being available on store shelves reinforces the NEED for homegrow.

If nothing else, the LCB’s poor prioritization of consumer safety & health, reinforces Ms. Holcomb’s statement that civil liberties homegrow is consistent with both the intent of I-502 and the goals if the 2nd Cole memorandum.

Elegantly beautiful simplicity!

Is this what truth looks like?

Keep up the excellent work.
